Haymarket Network launches Chinese SPIKES

With one year to go until the 2015 World Championships in Beijing, SPIKES has launched a new Chinese-language platform.

The Chinese version of SPIKES, built and populated by Haymarket Network, was launched on 22nd August by the IAAF (International Association of Athletics Federations).

The new Chinese platform of SPIKES features established stars like former Olympic track champion Liu Xiang and new heroes of Chinese athletics, such as long jumper Li Jinzhe.

Seven years on from when Usain Bolt shook the world at the Beijing 2008 Olympics, track and field will return to the iconic Bird’s Nest Stadium next August.

The Mayor of Beijing, Wang Anshun, spoke of how he is ‘excited about creating a new respect and affection for athletics among the people of China.’

SPIKES magazine is, says Haymarket Network, the edgy and innovative athletics magazine and website that celebrates the new heroes of athletics powered by the IAAF.
