How It Works Illustrated magazine to “revolutionise the newsstand”

On 31 July, Imagine will launch How it Works Illustrated, a magazine that promises to "revolutionise" the global newsstand with its format and subject matter.

From the makers of the knowledge title, How It Works, each issue of the new magazine eschews the traditional content model of magazine publishing. Instead, every issue of How it Works Illustrated will feature coverage of one core topic, such as Ancient Rome or dinosaurs. The launch issue focuses on the history of the world, and is a complete compendium of world events - from the creation of the Earth to modern day inventions.

Travel-sized and at 132 pages with illustrations and educational content throughout, How It Works Illustrated is designed to inspire magazine buyers of all ages to become collectors.
