Incisive acquires license to Channelnomics

Incisive Media and The 2112 Group, a New York-based business strategy firm, last week announced a licensing agreement to expand Incisive Media's channel coverage to North America and continental Europe, laying the foundations to establish a channel network across Europe and North America.

Incisive Media has significant experience developing brands in the US such as Risk Waters Group and Click-Z. The London-based company decided to expand its portfolio footprint by acquiring the license to Channelnomics, 2112's media destination. Launched in 2010, Channelnomics is a leading website devoted to the analysis of business models, technology practices and partner relationships in the global IT reseller channel. The site was founded by Lawrence M. Walsh, one of the most recognisable figures in the IT channel industry.

"Channelnomics is the perfect brand for Incisive Media to license due to the respect it receives from its audience and 2112's deep channel expertise and recognition. Unlike other independent news sources, Channelnomics challenges the status quo of the channel market and creates high quality discussions to draw its readers," said Alan Loader, Publisher of CRN UK at Incisive Media. "Channelnomics will complement us in expanding Incisive Media's coverage and reach to the US and continental Europe markets."

With this partnership, the full digital weight of Incisive Media will be put behind Channelnomics.com, already one of the most read channel sites in North America. As a part of the expansion, Incisive will also be adding to the Channelnomics brand by developing a new website - Channelnomics.eu - exclusively for the specific needs of the top European solution providers. The combined network, Channelnomics.com, ChannelWeb.co.uk and Channelnomics.eu will comprise one of the largest IT channel networks in the world, and a top resource for managed service providers, VARs, solution providers and integrators, says Incisive.

2112 and Incisive have an existing partnership, in which the two publishers syndicate content across their respective media networks and collaborate on market research reports. The partnership has produced several reports, including the first Trans-Atlantic Channel Study and US-UK Managed Services Survey.

"2112 and Incisive have been strong, productive partners since 2012. We have combined our resources and industry expertise to produce unique and high-value research and media products for the North American and U.K. channel communities. By extending a licensing agreement for Channelnomics, Incisive will gain greater access to the North American and European channel media markets, and 2112 will devote its resources toward expanding the breadth and reach of our channel professional services," said Walsh, CEO and Chief Analyst of The 2112 Group.

Additionally 2112 will expand its market reach to Europe, providing technology vendors and solution providers with market research, channel development and business development services to improve the efficiency and productivity of reseller channels. 2112 operates in the US, Canada, Brazil and the United Kingdom.
