Local World appoints Advertising Development Director

Steve Hollingsworth, Publisher, Nottingham Post Media Group has been appointed Advertising Development Director for Local World.

Steve Hollingsworth, Publisher, Nottingham Post Media Group has been appointed Advertising Development Director for Local World.

Steve will be working with Commercial Director, Blanche Sainsbury to ensure the Business is maximising the driving of advertising revenue and finding new and innovative revenue streams as well as shaping Local World’s motors proposition.

Steve said: “I am relishing the challenge that this new role brings, especially the requirement to grow our advertising customer base and have robust, response orientated products in place for them.”

David Simms has been appointed Publisher for the Nottingham Post Media Group in addition to his existing role as Publisher for Leicester Mercury Media Group.

David was appointed Publisher of the Leicester Mercury Media Group in August 2011. He has previously worked for the Liverpool Echo, Newcastle Chronicle and Journal and also Channel One TV Limited as Director and General Manager.

David said: “I am really looking forward to working with the Nottingham team and exploring how both Leicester and Nottingham can work together to further improve our offering to the market – in both content and commerce. I would also like to wish Steve the very best of luck and success in his new role.”

Both Steve and David will take up their new roles with immediate effect.
