According to MailOnline: There were 54,898,047 Global Video Views to the MailOnline in August, representing month-on-month growth of 8.4% and a substantial 77.5% increase on August last year.
There were eight days with more than 2 million Global Video Views last month, ensuring that Global Average Daily Video Views were well over 1.7 million in August. This means there were an additional 137,000 Global Video Views each day in August, compared with the previous month, July.
According to figures released yesterday by ABC, the MailOnline recorded 179.4 million Global Monthly Unique Visitors across its website and apps in August 2014.
There were 179,432,045 Global Monthly Unique Visitors to the MailOnline’s Website, iPhone, iPad and Android Apps in August 2014, representing growth of 2.8% on July 2014, and a year-on-year increase of 30.3%.
The MailOnline also recorded 11,340,674 Global Average Daily Unique Visitors in August 2014. This represents monthly growth of 2.7% and an increase of 25.9% on August last year.
This makes August 2014 the MailOnline’s second best month ever for Global Average Daily Unique Visitors, after January 2014.
In the UK, the MailOnline achieved 55.2 million Monthly Unique Visitors in August 2014, representing an increase of 2.8% on July 2014, and a year-on-year increase of 21.3%.
There were also 4.5 million Average Daily Unique Visitors in the UK in August 2014, which is 16.2% higher than August 2013, and growth of 1.1% on last month.
The MailOnline’s iPhone and Android Apps both achieved new records for Global Monthly Unique Visitors in August 2014, as they surpassed 1.1 million and 850,000 respectively for the first time ever.
The Android App also set a new record for Global Average Daily Unique Visitors in August 2014. There were 368,756 Global Average Daily Unique Visitors last month, representing a year-on-year increase of 37.2%.
