New digital appointments at Condé Nast

Wil Harris, Head of Digital of Condé Nast Britain has announced four new additions to the Condé Nast Digital team.

Rich Taylor has been appointed Head of Technology and Development. Rich joins the company with a wealth of experience in engineering for digital publishing, having worked previously at IPC, as well as pioneering technology sites Bit-Tech.net and TrustedReviews.com. Tim Alexander has been appointed Head of Project Management, and Geoff Richards joins as Head of Data, Analytics & Insight. Tim was previously at Dennis Publishing and Geoff joins from Time Inc UK. In addition, Dan Powell-Rees, who joins Condé Nast from The Economist, has been named as Head of Commercial Operations.

Wil Harris also announced yesterday that September will be the largest ever revenue month in the history of the Digital team, with a growth of 15% on 2013. More campaigns are being booked than ever before, and the first ‘native’ advertisements for L’Oreal and Diesel, ran on Glamour.com and GQ.co.uk respectively, earlier this summer, says Condé Nast Digital.

In addition, Condé Nast Digital reports record programmatic revenue with a 308% growth from Q2 to Q3 in 2014. The growth from July to August was 235%.

“I am delighted with the rapid progress we are making across our portfolio of publications. Condé Nast’s titles are brands of unparalleled quality, and with these appointments and launches we are moving quicker than ever to build on their strength in digital”, commented Harris.

Other recent developments include the reimagining of Wired.co.uk, Tatler.com and CNTraveller.com. GQ is now available on iPhone and Vogue recently exceeded 2 million Facebook fans and Twitter followers.
