TeamRock Celebrates 200th Edition of Classic Rock

Yesterday, TeamRock celebrated the 200th edition of Classic Rock Magazine and announced the launches of new iPad editions of Classic Rock and Metal Hammer.

The 240 page special commemorates 200 issues of the “high voltage rock ‘n’ roll magazine”, and includes 200 interviews with 200 different rock stars. The cover CD also includes Journey, Alice Cooper, Joe Bonamassa, Slash, Ginger, Stone Temple, Pilots and Black Stone Cherry.

Nicky Horne, host of the Classic Rock Magazine Show on TeamRock Radio, will also be celebrating the 200th edition, on Friday 18th July, by playing the top 20 tracks that have been released since Classic Rock Magazine launched. For the rest of the month Nicky will also be featuring in his show highlights from the top 200 tracks of the magazine’s lifetime as well as the 200 themed interviews that are part of the celebratory issue.

Chris Ingham, Managing Director of TeamRock.com said: “This is without a doubt the very finest issue of Classic Rock I’ve ever had the pleasure of reading. 200 interviews is a staggering amount and for them to be by 200 different artists of note, is an incredible feat. I would like to extend my congratulations to the entire team at Classic Rock in producing this double issue sized monster! It surely is an amazing piece of work.”

In addition, TeamRock has launched brand new iPad editions of Classic Rock and Metal Hammer. To embrace the new interactive features of the new digital apps, which includes video content, photo galleries, animated images, a music player and loads of exclusive extra content, TeamRock.com has teamed up with Olympus to offer readers the chance to become a music journalist for the day.

TeamRock.com is asking readers to join its digital revolution and send in their own written review of any of this summer’s festivals or music events, including photos. Prizes include thousands of pounds worth of camera equipment and subscriptions to the new iPad editions, say the publishers. Full competition details can be found through registering at teamrock.com, on either newsstand app, or through the Evening Standard’s online competitions from yesterday. Shortlisted entries will also be invited to a one-night-only exhibition of their work at the Olympus Image Space Gallery, where the winners will be announced.
