Waitrose Kitchen’s new iPad edition created by PageSuite

PageSuite has announced the launch of the Waitrose Kitchen iPad app, which has been created with their new feed-driven publishing software, PageSuite Live.

The app’s content is populated by feeds and it is crafted using PageSuite’s Template Tool, which offers complete design freedom for its users, says the company.

PageSuite Live offers publishers a unique way to create and enhance editions for multiple platforms through its easy-to-use portal.

PageSuite worked alongside John Brown Media, the creators of the Waitrose Kitchen magazine, to launch the new app. It comes with a multitude of rich functionality as it features multi-directional swipe navigation, text animation, pop-ups and stunning imagery.

Ross Murphy, Managing Director at PageSuite said, “We’re really pleased to launch this app for Waitrose Kitchen. It features a whole host of functionality which really helps to enhance the end-user’s reading experience. This app is a great example of how PageSuite Live enables publishers to enhance their existing content.”

Article layouts are stylish and modern and the content is easy to navigate thanks to the handy menu. When readers are viewing recipes they have the option to choose ‘recipe mode’, which displays the ingredients and method in one screen, or ‘cook mode’ which provides users with a step-by-step guide to assist them whilst cooking. Users can also opt to tap the ‘wine pairing’ option which triggers a small pop up that displays wine recommendations to accompany the recipe.

Waitrose Kitchen is an award-winning monthly magazine and is the highest circulating monthly food and drink title throughout the UK. The latest edition, a Christmas special, features everyday recipes, celebrity interviews, feature articles and inspiration for the festive season. The app is now available to download from iTunes, specifically for iPad devices.
