World Architecture Festival joins EMAP

Top Right Group (TRG) yesterday announced that global Architecture event, The World Architecture Festival (WAF) will become part of EMAP’s Architecture brand portfolio which also includes The Architectural Review (AR) and the Architects’ Journal (AJ), in a move from sister company i2i Events Group.

WAF is the world’s largest festival and live awards competition dedicated to celebrating and sharing architectural excellence from across the globe with over 2,000 delegates annually, says EMAP.

The move comes as TRG operating companies continue to transform and grow and the group constantly reviews ways to best align products with strategic business goals, says TRG. The addition of this major event supports EMAP’s mission to create world-class, digital and face to face, content-led products and brands that help customers progress in their profession and clients reach high value and targeted audiences. WAF also has strong synergies with EMAP’s architecture brands AJ and AR.

Richard Breeden, Managing Director, Architecture, EMAP said: “My team and I are extremely excited by the opportunities which bringing WAF back to EMAP presents. AJ and AR will work as fantastic partners for WAF and help create even greater content and reach for the brand. We also look forward to working even more closely with Paul Finch and the WAF team, as we continue to shape and champion the global architecture agenda and develop the next phase of the WAF story. This move marks an important milestone for EMAP and we are looking forward to further strengthening and growing this incredible brand.”

Paul Finch, Program Director, WAF said: “WAF has always had a close relationship with Architectural Review and Architects’ Journal, and we are delighted to be joining them at EMAP. We look forward to further expansion working with a great team.”
