220 Triathlon launches social media training channel

220 Triathlon, Immediate Media Co’s triathlon title, has announced the launch of myTri, an interactive social media training channel on its website 220triathlon.com.

Powered by sports software TRAININGDIARIES.COM, the channel is packed with features and tools to help triathletes train, race and improve their technique.

Immediate Media Co is the first publisher in the UK to deploy this software, and myTri has initially launched with a suite of interactive training features including route mapping tools, training diaries and plans, performance analysis graphs, an events calendar and member leaderboards. In coming months additional community features, including groups and user challenges, will be added to the channel, alongside a mobile training app.

James Witts, Editor of 220 Triathlon, commented: “220triathlon.com aims to be the number one digital resource for triathletes in the UK and myTri is a major initiative towards achieving that goal. Initial user uptake is above forecast and we are seeing a significant uplift in user engagement. From next month, we will be adding a myTri section to the magazine, opening up new integrated advertising and sponsorship opportunities.”

Julian Downing, Co-Founder of TRAININGDIARIES.COM, added: “We are delighted to have launched our Enterprise Software in the UK with a market-leading brand like 220 Triathlon, and we look forward to working with the team to build on this audience and user engagement.”
