5 Seconds Of Summer appearing on 4 separate covers of Rock Sound Summer issue

5 Seconds Of Summer will celebrate their Rock Sound cover debut by appearing on four separate covers of the Summer issue 190 on sale July 16th.

Each of the four covers will feature a different member of the chart-topping group, complete with their own unique pull quote and cover lines, designed to reflect their distinctive personalities, say the publishers.

The move is a world exclusive for the independent rock title as it is the first time the band have had solo covers anywhere in the world.

Comments Rock Sound editor Ryan Bird: “To say that we’re excited about welcoming 5 Seconds Of Summer to our cover would be an understatement, but to be welcoming them to four separate ones is a real, genuine thrill. With each of the four members boasting millions of followers on Twitter and Instagram respectively, we felt this was a tremendous opportunity to showcase the band’s individual talents and popularity as well as their collective appeal, while also providing their legions of loyal fans with a range of must-have collectables. We’re sure that, as always, their fans will back them in numbers and make this a really special occasion.”

The interview marks the band’s only written print feature around the release of their self-titled debut album, which was set to reach Number One on the UK album charts this weekend.

The album – which on the day of release topped the iTunes Chart in 69 countries – follows hot on the success of the band’s first two singles ‘She Looks So Perfect’ and ‘Don’t Stop’, which reached Number One and Number Two in the UK singles charts respectively, as well as charting highly (including the top spot) in numerous countries across the globe.

With the likes of All Time Low’s Alex Gaskarth, Good Charlotte’s Madden Brothers and rock super-producer John Feldmann contributing to the album, 5 Seconds Of Summer are currently the biggest guitar-driven band on the planet, says Rock Sound, who are delighted to have secured the only new print interview with the group, who were recently crowned Best International Newcomer by rival rock publication Kerrang!
