Air Business commits to ISO50001

As an environmentally conscious organisation, Air Business Group has committed to achieving ISO50001 certification by October 2015.

In 2014, Air Business achieved ISO14001 and ISO9001 in 2014 at their head office and main operational site in St Albans. Furthering their commitment they are now in the process of achieving the same BSi certifications for their second major operational site in Witney as well as achieving ISO50001 across the whole Group.

Loraine Hirst, who is heading up this special project on behalf of the group, is driving the certification process and managing sustainable practises. She comments: “Achieving ISO50001 will be a natural progression from our existing certifications. We are always looking to improve internal efficiencies and will be asking employees across the whole Group to get involved with their suggestions for energy saving ideas. This will enable us to systematically reduce energy wastage in all departments across all of our sites.

“In addition to our environmental management certification ISO14001 we are committed to reducing our carbon footprint and improving energy performance in the long-term. We also have some immediate improvements we can implement to make energy consumption more efficient by the end of 2015.”

Adam Sherman, group managing director at Air Business, adds: “We take great pride in our operations and the value-added quality services we offer to all our clients. In an increasingly environmentally-conscious world we prioritise a sustainable future by continuously improving both our environmental and quality processes to meet environmental objectives for both ourselves and our clients.”
