AOP announces shortlist for three more award categories

The Association of Online Publishers has announced the shortlists for three further categories for its annual Digital Publishing Awards.

Entries for the Digital Ad Ops Team, Media Technology Partner and Commercial Partnership categories were so close they required further deliberation from the judging panel following the initial judging day last week, says the AOP.

Guardian News and Media and Hearst Magazines which both had six nominations from the first round of judging further added to their tallies after being included on the shortlist for the Commercial Partnership category. Shortlist Media, Dezeen, Global Radio and Incisive Media complete the category’s shortlist and adding to their existing nomination in the first round.

IPC Media meanwhile picked up a further two nominations in the Media Technology Partner and Digital Ops Team categories bringing their total number of nominations for this year’s awards to seven.

The other organisations nominated are: Telegraph Media (Digital Ops Team), Unruly (Digital Ops Team), Skimlinks, OnScroll, Kaldor and Taboola (all for Media Technology Partner).

Commenting on this year’s submissions, AOP Managing Director Tim Cain said: “The entries to this year’s awards were amongst the strongest the AOP has ever seen. The fact further deliberation was required for these three categories is a true reflection of the strong position the industry is currently in.”

Tickets for this year’s award ceremony, to be held at The RoundHouse in Camden, London are now on sale. Tables can be purchased via the AOP Digital Publishing Awards’ official website which can be accessed here.
