AOP introduces ‘Ad Ops’ category to awards

The Association of Online Publishers (AOP) is launching an “Ad Operations Team” awards category, for the first time, within its Digital Publishing Awards in 2011.

The AOP Award for Digital Advertising Operations Team, held in association with AdMonsters, targets the community of online advertising operations and technology leaders. The new category is open for entries from publishers, agencies and advertising networks that sell, buy, or manage online display advertising media.

Matt O’Neill, President of AdMonsters says, “We are thrilled to be involved with the AOP Awards, an industry flagship event which now will include the well-deserved tribute to Ad Ops and Technology teams. Not a penny of revenue is delivered or recognised without first passing through ops and it’s fantastic to see this essential role given wider recognition. The ad ops team of the year award acknowledges ad ops leadership, innovation, and contribution to overall business success.” Matt will also be part of the awards judging panel.

Lee Baker (pictured), Director of AOP adds, “Our aim is to reward and celebrate the best-in-class in UK digital publishing. The new Ad Ops Team category, in association with AdMonsters, recognises the growing importance of Ad Ops and technology to the industry. We are looking forward to this being a keenly fought category!”

Full details of entry criteria and entry forms at AOP Awards 2011. The finalists will be announced at the AOP Awards showcase to be held at the Roundhouse, Camden, London on 9 June 2011. For the first time this year, there will be an overall “AOP Grand Prix 2011” prize which can be awarded by the judges additionally to a winning entry.
