Apple dominates Future’s inaugural TechRadar Awards

Apple, the computing and consumer electronics giant proves it continues to lead the pack, as it walks away with a massive haul of seven gongs at the first-ever TechRadar Awards, decided solely by the votes of technology enthusiasts.

With more than 75,000 votes cast by gadget lovers, the TechRadar Awards celebrate innovative technology across Computing, Home Entertainment, Mobile Communications and Gadgets. TechRadar.com claims to be one of the world’s fastest-growing technology websites, attracting over 2.8m unique users each month.

But there are signs it might not get everything its own way during 2010; HTC put in a strong showing in our phone categories, while Android’s app store also polled strongly.”

“The latest version of Apple’s operating system was well beaten by Microsoft’s Windows 7, which stormed our software category.”

“We’re proud of the results and feel the TechRadar Awards are a new benchmark for the opinions of UK technology consumers. They’re something for technology companies to aspire to. Thanks go to our sponsors, DTS, Intel and Qualcomm who helped make it possible.”
