Glyn Moody is named Contributing Policy Editor. An expert on open source, digital rights/policy and copyright, Glyn has pioneered coverage of the Internet and digital policy, writing for publications including Wired, The Guardian, Daily Telegraph, The Economist and New Scientist. He is also author of Rebel Code: Linux and the Open Source Revolution, the first and only detailed history of the birth and rise of free software.
Mark Walton is appointed Gaming and Hardware Editor. Mark joins from CBSi where he has been since 2007, most recently as Senior Writer at GameSpot where he has covered games and hardware for the last 5 years.
Cathleen O’Grady is named Science Reporter. A science journalist with an academic background in evolutionary linguistics, Cathleen has written for publications including IT Web, SciDev, The Skinny and Bitch magazine.
