Autosport creates its first ever iPad-only edition

Autosport, the weekly motorsport magazine produced by Haymarket Consumer Media, has just launched a one-off iPad-only edition for its British Grand Prix special.

The 62-page British GP preview special comprises current magazine content, previously released articles as well as a host of new features, all of which have been redesigned to maximise their impact in iPad form.

The iPad special edition also includes over two hours of embedded video, with rare footage from every British Grand Prix from 1950 to 1980.

Autosport Editor-in-Chief Andrew Van De Burgt said: ‘At just £1.99 and with its high-quality content and design, I really hope that this issue is a success and becomes the first in a series of this type of product.’

Last year’s winner of the AOP Digital Publishing Digital Product Team Award, Autosport has already established a strong digital presence with the launch of both its iPhone and Android apps and the digital edition of the magazine, says Haymarket.
