Bauer appoints Sam Gallimore
Sam Gallimore: “I am thrilled to be returning to Bauer.”

Sam will report directly to Chris Duncan, CEO of the UK publishing business.

She joins Bauer Media from The Walt Disney Company where for the last three years she has held the position of Marketing Circulation Director for National Geographic in Europe and Africa. Over this period, Sam migrated the international customer database to a new subscriptions bureau and led the launch and expansion of nationalgeographic.co.uk.

In her new role as Subscriptions Director and Managing Director of Women’s Specialist and Hobbies, Sam will focus on growing revenue from subscriptions both in print and digital channels across all Bauer brands, and she will also be responsible for continuing to build direct sales channels across specialist markets in which Bauer publishes.

Sam is no stranger to Bauer Media, having worked for the company twice before in different Managing Director roles. She was responsible for delivering heat magazine’s re-launch, and prior to that, she managed the diverse leisure portfolio across parenting, health, outdoors, photography and gardening brands.

Rob Munro-Hall, President of Bauer Media’s global publishing business commented: “Sam is a proven professional with an impressive track record in subscription marketing and delivering transformational profit growth through magazine launch, reinvention and redevelopment. Her extensive experience in building brands makes her an invaluable asset in these challenging times, and I very much welcome her return to our business.”

Sam Gallimore, Subscriptions Director and Managing Director Women’s Specialist and Hobbies, said: “I am thrilled to be returning to Bauer Media and re-connecting with old colleagues and meeting new ones, and especially keen to commence working on achieving our shared business goals. I cannot wait to get started!”

Sam will take up her position on 4 May 2020.
