Bauer Media reveals new look Shoppable Website for Yours Magazine

Bauer Media yesterday revealed a new look website for Yours magazine, its fortnightly magazine for women over 50.

In the year of the magazine’s 40th birthday, the new and improved digital home for Yours includes shoppable product reviews, providing users with the ability to buy trusted products hand-picked by the editorial team directly - a first for the 50+ women’s market, says Bauer Media.

The new website is also mobile-responsive enabling users to access the content easily across multiple platforms, reflecting the needs of users.

Delivering a broad mix of content in line with the magazine, the new Yours.co.uk is built around the core pillars of Health & Lifestyle; Money & Shopping; Travel & Leisure and Relationships. At the heart of the site is the ‘Yours Recommends’ channel which is dedicated to supporting the many Yours-branded businesses including Retirement Services, Events, Travel, Diet Club, Friendship & Romance, Switching and Bingo.

According to the publishers, the site allows users to find trusted advice and useful information on a huge range of topics relevant to the female audience over 50, enjoy a range of craft projects and recipes, win daily prizes, shop for great value products and services all specially selected by the Yours team, as well as enjoy regular favourites from Yours magazine including health, fashion, beauty, days out and real life stories.

The launch of the website also extends Yours’ commercial offering, allowing the title to provide multiplatform solutions for advertisers and brands. The first brand to take advantage of this proposition at launch is Guide Dogs - the UK charity for the blind and partially sighted. An original partnership saw Yours readers sponsoring a guide dog puppy and naming him, with regular advertorials in the magazine covering his progress. With the launch of Yours.co.uk this partnership will extend online in the form of a donation page, display advertising and articles allowing site visitors to keep up to date with the sponsored puppy.
