BGF partners with The Times to celebrate Britain’s Business Heroes

BGF (Business Growth Fund), the provider of long-term capital for fast growing British companies, has partnered with News UK Commercial to create a bespoke digital platform that will celebrate Britain’s business heroes under The Times and Sunday Times’ brand.

With thousands of fast growing companies based in the UK, says BGF, the aim of the commercial partnership is to capture the ‘light bulb’ moment of Britain’s leading entrepreneurs. Launching on Tuesday 2nd September, Times Business Heroes will initially feature nine videos of Britain’s inspiring CEOs with one new video uploaded each month over the course of the next nine months.

The online hub will be advertised across The Times and Sunday Times websites, social media platforms and tablet apps. The digital platform will sit outside of the paywall to encourage new and existing readers to nominate other business heroes to be in the spotlight.

Jon Rhodes, Director of Marketing & Communications at BGF said: “We wanted to create an innovative campaign that would celebrate and applaud Britain’s most inspiring entrepreneurs. These are the men and women who have taken risks and founded the businesses driving growth in the economy, and we wanted to take a moment to congratulate them on their success.

“For us, the only way to capture and share these light bulb moments was through a digital and social channel that would really bring their stories to life. The Times was the perfect commercial partner for this campaign because of its long-standing reputation for business and because its digital platforms are well designed and visually engaging.”

“We hope that through this partnership we can create a wider community in which Britain’s business heroes can share their experiences, and inspire and support other companies looking to push for further growth.”

Sophie Raptis, Head of Financial Advertising at News UK Commercial added: “Companies across the UK want guidance and advice from other successful entrepreneurs and to learn from their peers. The digital platform for BGF is therefore an opportunity to give a voice to Britain’s business heroes and to put their success stories in the spotlight to create a hub of inspiration.

“This commercial partnership will enable BGF to own a content resource dedicated to helping Britain’s entrepreneurs succeed and to put them at the heart of the business community.”
