BMJ partners with EBMcalc

BMJ, one of the world’s leading medical knowledge providers, has teamed up with EBMcalc to significantly expand coverage of medical calculators in its clinical decision support tool BMJ Best Practice.

Medical calculators are among the most popular tools used by healthcare professionals in their daily practice, helping to identify and diagnose a range of conditions.

This partnership strengthens BMJ’s support for busy clinicians, by providing them with trusted, evidence-based tools to make the best decisions in partnership with patients, says BMJ.

Best Practice aims to give doctors fast and easy access to the latest information when making diagnosis and treatment decisions. Updated daily, it draws on the latest evidence-based research, guidelines and expert opinion to offer step-by-step guidance on diagnosis, prognosis, treatment and prevention.

Louise Crowe, Director, BMJ Knowledge said: “Best Practice already has a strong evidence base. We are delighted to partner with EBMcalc and continue to improve our support for busy clinicians at the point of care by providing access to the highest quality, evidence-based tools for use in their daily practice.”
