Board changes at Redwood

Strategic content agency Redwood has announced key changes to its management board to drive future growth and reflect the changing shape of its business.

Four of its senior members: Sara Cremer, Nicki Hill, Paul Kurzeja and Clare Hersey have been promoted, and a new digital services team has been established to strengthen online strategy.

Sara Cremer (pictured), Redwood’s editorial director of four years, is promoted to managing director. Cremer has been instrumental in driving Redwood's transition from a customer magazine publisher to a complete multi-channel content agency for blue chip clients such as Barclays and Volvo. Sara will continue to drive content development across platforms, and will also take on overall responsibility for the fast growing Barclays account and the newly established digital services team.

Former board account director, Nicki Hill, will take on the role of managing director of retail and business development. Hill's remit is to significantly grow both UK and international business. Redwood has a portfolio of international brands which include Volvo, Marks and Spencer, Mazda, Fiat and Land Rover, and Hill will build on Redwood's 20+ years of international experience, working with over 70 countries to promote Redwood's offering in new markets.

Paul Kurzeja is promoted to Executive Creative Director in recognition of the significant role he has played in driving Redwood's digital development. He will be a key figure in the future development of Redwood's digital and video businesses.

Clare Hersey also joins the board as board account director, heading up the Virgin Media and Boots accounts.

Redwood has established a new digital services team in order to ensure the clients’ need for overarching and coherent content strategies are met. The demand for Redwood’s award-winning digital content and video services has greatly increased over the past year and now forms a very significant slice of Redwood’s business. The new team will be headed by digital services director Jonathan Richards, who joined in December 2011 from Other Creative.

Redwood has welcomed a number of new talents over the last few months, including Barclay’s business director, Mark Harrop; Royal Mail group editor, Dominic Mills; and Boots editor in chief, Rachel Ashley.

Keith Grainger, CEO, Redwood comments: “I am delighted to be able to announce these promotions. Redwood's success has always been driven by the quality of its creative work and exceptional client service. These appointments put content strategy, creativity and vision right at the heart of Redwood's future, and add a vigour to the board that will help to drive the business forward.

“There is great potential for Redwood to grow both in the UK and internationally over the coming years. We have an incredibly strong creative and strategic offering, and as part of the BBDO network we have access to not only a large number of offices worldwide, but also to some of the world's biggest brands. Furthermore, the creation of the new digital services team is a vital aspect as we strive to realise our vision – to be the world’s leading strategic content agency for brands.”
