Brand Republic redesigns and launches new channels

Brand Republic has relaunched with a new structure based upon pillars of news, intelligence, comment and jobs.

With a design to make content easier to discover, the changes follow research among the site’s core audiences of marketing, media and advertising professionals. The brief provided back to Brand Republic was simple: provide more of the content that helps us do our jobs better and makes our companies perform more effectively.

Rich Sutcliffe, editor, Brand Republic, says: “One of the key strengths of Brand Republic since it launched almost 10 years ago has been its community, and it was our readers who we turned to when we embarked on the rebuild process. We think we’ve delivered a website in keeping with the fast-moving industry we cover, with a flexible platform that can adapt as a story, sector or entire industry evolves.”

In addition to breaking news and a wide selection of marketing and media jobs, Brand Republic has introduced two new sections – Intelligence and Think BR.

A repository for key data, research and forecasts, Brand Republic Intelligence features high quality original research along with data from trade bodies, associations and media analysis companies. At launch, Intelligence is sponsored by The Future Foundation, a consumer and business futures company.

Drawing on Brand Republic’s blogs and top columnists, Think BR is a forum for debate that connects the advertising, marketing, media and PR industries. Think BR will aggregate the best blog content from other websites.

Brand Republic is enjoying a sustained period of success and this relaunch will help to continue the site’s growth,” says Matthew Gerry, online publisher, Haymarket Brand Media.

As part of the changes, the site, along with sister titles Campaign, Marketing and MediaWeek.co.uk, has gated some content for registered users only. This includes metered access to news.

Gerry says: “Our users recognise the value of our content with more than 200,000 already registered. We plan to introduce paid subscriptions for premium content in future but for the time being the site remains free.”
