Candis – newsstand launch

Candis magazine, the successful subscription based title from Newhall Publications, goes on sale at the newsstand for the first time on 23 September, priced £2.20.

According to distributors COMAG: “Packed with practical and authoritative advice for women to get the most out of life during their 30s, 40s and 50s, Candis has a warm tone, is helpful, fun and always upbeat. Through its positive approach to family life, readers build a strong and trusting relationship with Candis and regard it as they would a close friend.

Every issue features real-life advice, inspiration and entertainment for today’s busy women who juggle parenting, friendships, work, the household budget and wider family issues, but who still want to look and feel good; Candis is a magazine women trust.

Along with the kind of content that has made it such a hugely successful subscription title for so long, Candis will have new and better features from the October issue, including more health and wellbeing issues, a livelier front section and more feel-good stories.

Regular experts and contributors currently include Denise Robertson (This Morning), Ann Swithinbank (BBC Radio 4’s Gardeners’ Question Time) and Russell Grant (horoscopes).

Handbag-sized, Candis is 164-pages and features regular competitions, reader offers and discounted products to enjoy. The October issue will have a free Helen É nail varnish kit for every reader, a 30% discount at La Redoute, a competition to win a £500 shopping spree at M&S vouchers as well as other fabulous goodies worth over £7,000!

The October edition has Gwyneth Paltrow on the cover and features a frank and exclusive interview with the Hollywood star.

As well as all this, from the October issue Candis will also have a new ‘me-time’ section, aimed at the busy woman on the go, allowing her to relax from her worries for a while and a special hair feature with 25 anti-ageing cuts and 50+ expert tips for glossy, healthy hair.

Candis will be supporting the newsstand launch with extensive radio advertising, regional newspaper adverts and inserts into the Sunday supplements over a three month period.”
