Caravan and Motorhome channels hit 95,000 viewers

Practical Caravan and Practical Motorhome’s redeveloped TV shows have just reached 95,000 viewers.

Last summer, Practical Caravan and Practical Motorhome joined forces with Information TV to revamp and develop the already existing ‘The Caravan Channel’ and ‘Motorhome Channel’ programmes.

One year on, the joint venture TV shows have returned Broadcasters' Audience Research Board (BARB) figures of 95,000 adult viewers. The figures cover the brands’ latest set of one-hour transmissions that broadcast the shows back-to-back.

The programmes include reviews of Caravans and Motorhomes, campsite visits, technology advice, tow car reviews and live coverage of the national camping shows, says Haymarket.

Clare Kelly, Features Editor of Practical Caravan and Practical Motorhome and Presenter of the Caravan and Motorhome Channels, said: “We pride ourselves on being a brand that is personal. I think our audience already feel they know us as genuine caravanners and this is an extension of that; the fact that we are getting so many viewers is fantastic.

“This means that we get to show an almost 360 degree view of caravanning as an exciting and rewarding pursuit and hopefully encourage new people to get out and explore.”
