Celloglas gives luxurious feel to Marketing’s Power 100 issue

Haymarket’s Marketing Magazine commissioned Celloglas to give the cover of their special Power 100 issue a luxurious feel and elegant silver foil.

The Marketing Magazine ‘Power 100’ December issue lists some of the UK’s most influential marketers and highlights all the year’s highs and lows in the industry, including Royal–baby mania, Andy Murray’s Wimbeldon victory and Coke gets personal, as a few highs.

Marketing Magazine is printed by Stephen’s and George, based in South Wales and has recently become a monthly. The special Power 100 issue was finished by Celloglas, at their site in Reading, with Cellotouch lamination that protected the cover and provided a sensual soft feel and matt effect. This was combined with a silver foil that highlighted areas of a royal emblem design, which included lions and a crown.

Alison Boydall, Production Manager at Marketing Magazine commented, “Our readership like to keep the Power 100 issue, so we wanted to use special finishes to make it more special”. Alison added “We love the elegant contrast that is created when combining the soft lamination and the silver foil.”

Steve Middleton, Sales Director at Celloglas, commented, “Cellotouch lamination is a fantastic way to add value to printed matter and it works fantastically with this black Power 100 cover.”

Laura McClennon, Deputy Head of Production at Haymarket, commented, “As fans of print, it’s always nice when we get the opportunity to do something a bit different with our covers. The combination of finishes we used distinguishes the issue as a special edition that’s designed to be kept and referred to.”

Marketing Magazine has a circulation of 11,000.
