Charlie Meredith appointed MD IPC Advertising

IPC Media has announced that Charlie Meredith, currently managing director of IPC's Central Operations, has been appointed managing director, IPC Advertising, effective December 1.

In his role, Charlie (pictured) will lead all of IPC's central advertising teams, which currently report to CEO Evelyn Webster.

Evelyn says: “With 20 years’ experience in the industry, Charlie is the perfect candidate to lead IPC Advertising. His deep understanding of our business, our market-leading brands and our consumers ideally places him to build upon IPC’s relationships with all our commercial partners.”

Following three years as a publishing director within IPC’s mass-market women’s portfolio, Charlie was appointed to the IPC Media board in 2009 as MD of our market-leading TV entertainment brands. In January 2010, he was appointed MD of Central Operations and has played a key role in the recent strategic review of IPC’s specialist portfolio.

Charlie adds: “I am delighted to be taking up the role of MD, Advertising and I look forward to working with the incredible talent at IPC to develop our commercial partnerships further.”

Also effective December 1, Paul Williams, MD, Inspire, will take responsibility for IPC Direct; Jackie Newcombe, MD, Southbank for IPC Plus; and Dee Mair, HR Director, for Property and Facilities, alongside their existing roles. Charlie retains responsibility for Production.
