Computer Arts Collection uses Cellotouch lamination

Computer Arts have selected Celloglas’s ‘Cellotouch’ soft feel lamination to use on the cover of the second volume of magazines in their ‘Computer Arts Collection’, which is once again to be published every eight weeks.

The series of six in-depth guides, from the publishers of Computer Arts, ‘Computer Arts Collection’ covers the core topics of graphic design, typography, illustration, branding, photography and advertising.

This series has been printed on weightier, much better quality paper from 90gsm up to 130gsm, with a couple of new regular features packed into the content including a designer's eye view of the best creative haunts in their home city.

The Cellotouch lamination was applied at the Celloglas Leicester factory, along with a Cellocover Spot UV in select areas, applied on the twin coat Heidelberg. The Cellotouch lamination, gives the cover a luxurious soft to touch feel and matt finish, plus a spot UV providing a glossy contrast in select areas.

The covers have also received social media interest, with people saying the cover ‘feels sexy’ and brings an element of ‘luxury’, say the publishers.

Nick Carson, Editor of Computer Arts Collection, commented, “Computer Arts Collection celebrates the tactile beauty of print, and we chose Cellotouch lamination due to its premium nature, making each volume a collectable item”.

Steve Middleton, Sales Director at Celloglas, commented, “Cellotouch is a very popular laminate and is often used for printed media of a premium nature, examples we have seen have been high end property brochures, auction house booklet covers and premium brand catalogue covers”.

Steve Middleton added, “Cellotouch is considered more scuff resistant than standard matt lamination, and also produces a soft luxury feel to printed items.”
