Condé Nast appoints Dolly Jones as Digital Strategy Director

Dolly Jones has been appointed Digital Strategy Director of Condé Nast Digital, and Lucy Hutchings has been promoted to Editor of Vogue.co.uk, it was announced today. The posts will be effective from 1st March.

In the newly created role of Digital Strategy Director, reporting to Wil Harris, Director of Condé Nast Digital, Dolly will help shape online editorial and commercial strategy across the portfolio, aligning those strategies to provide greater creative opportunities for commercial partners, and deepening reader engagement. Dolly is currently Editor of Vogue.co.uk, a position she has held since 2005, as well as Executive Editor of Condé Nast Digital.

Wil Harris commented “Dolly has an incredible wealth of experience in the digital side of the Condé Nast business, having been the hugely successful and long-time Editor of Vogue.co.uk. Having played a key role in many of the inventive commercial partnerships that have defined Vogue in digital, Dolly will also be working closely to align our commercial and editorial strategies, in order to deliver even greater creativity to our advertising clients with consistency across our titles, and ensuring an even more delightful user experience to our readers.”

Lucy Hutchings is currently Acting Editor of Vogue.co.uk, having joined the site as Fashion Editor in 2011, becoming Deputy Editor in 2013. Lucy will report to Alexandra Shulman, Editor of British Vogue. Vogue.co.uk has 2,217,678 unique users (Google Analytics Oct-Dec 2014) say the publishers.

Alexandra Shulman remarked: “Lucy has done a wonderful job as Acting Editor, and has many ideas about how to continue to grow the site's audience even further, as well as exploring ways that the print and digital sides of the magazine can work even more together. I look forward to an exciting new phase of the website under her stewardship, following on from the significant success Dolly Jones has achieved.”
