Condé Nast International to host Hackathon

Condé Nast International will be hosting a hackathon, taking place over the weekend of November 22nd and 23rd in London.

This is a unique opportunity for creative technology professionals to impact the future of the publishing industry, says Condé Nast International. During a 36 hour hackathon participants will have the chance to collaborate with Condé Nast International’s top technology talent to develop innovative products for the multi-media publishing world.

Members of the Condé Nast International digital teams from countries including France, Germany, Italy, Russia, Spain and the UK will be participating in the hackathon. The Condé Nast International judges are announced as Shazad Awan, Chief Technology Officer- E-Commerce; Franck Zayan, President of E-Commerce; Wil Harris, Head of Digital at Condé Nast Britain; Sarah Herz, Head of Digital at Condé Nast France; Malcolm Simms, Chief Technology Officer; and Thomas Bucaille, Director of Talent.

The winning team will gain mentorship from Condé Nast International to develop its hack from prototype to product and runner-up prizes include tickets to WIRED2015.

“We have been undertaking a major multi-media publishing technology deployment across all our wholly owned markets and are setting the benchmark for editorial workflow tools and digital asset management. We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to share expertise, exposing developers to a unique environment, leveraging emerging technology to prototype a bold hack,” added Malcolm Simms, Chief Technology Officer of Condé Nast International.

The Condé Nast International Hackathon is being created in association with AngelHack, the start-up eco-system and leading developer relations platform.
