Condé Nast Johansens launches Inspiration

Continuing the evolution of the multi-media travel source, a new editorial section entitled Inspiration has launched on the Condé Nast Johansens website, it was announced yesterday by Charlotte Evans, Group Publishing Director.

Written by the Condé Nast Johansens team, Inspiration encompasses travel advice and ideas, will be updated weekly, and can be found at www.johansens.com/inspiration

“Our recently redesigned online Guide showcasing the Condé Nast Johansens properties, together with its booking enquiry facility, now offers an additional reason for travellers looking for inspiration and guidance, whether for business or pleasure, to visit the site. We’re thrilled to share the expertise of our seasoned team via Inspiration, our new experiential travel editorial, and hope our insider tips and views will ensure our readers travel well,” commented Evans.

Located on the home page, Inspiration will also include contributions from guest writers, and feedback can be channeled through Facebook. Guest facing hoteliers, whether front-of-house, guest relations, sommeliers, or concierges, will also be contributing to Inspiration, sharing their own unique perspectives.

Condé Nast Johansens unveiled its re-imagined website in the summer of 2013, further establishing its position as the leading independently produced Guide for today’s traveller, curating hotels, spas and venues for leisure and business across the globe, says Condé Nast Johansens. With a focus on a younger, affluent audience, the site, which is web, tablet and mobile compatible, includes contemporary and designer hotels, chic B&Bs and new destinations, as well as traditional favourites. Highlights of the Johansens site include:

* Easy search functions; search by property type, continent & country, experience or by map.

* Predictive search functionality for hotels and destinations.

* User-friendly booking enquiry, with the option of sending an enquiry to multiple hotels, and the option to submit flexible dates when booking.

* Highly targeted, inspirational editorial content featuring Editor’s Picks.

* Itinerary planning option

* Google Maps

The publishers say: Highly regarded for 32 years, Condé Nast Johansens remains the most comprehensive illustrated reference to annually inspected, independently owned hotels. With dedicated and highly trained local experts, almost ten times as many properties have been assessed as appear in the Guides, in order to narrow the final selection down to the best selection of accommodation for independent travellers. With a readership of 6.2 million, the Guides distribution now totals 33,350 internationally.
