Cosmopolitan celebrates new ABCe figures

Cosmopolitan.co.uk claims to have had an outstanding year, increasing its monthly unique browsers by 56% and delivering an ABCe of 765,880 – a year-on year increase of more than 273,500.

According to Cosmopolitan: “The website also recorded an 88% annual increase in page impressions to 11.8 million and subscribers to the Cosmopolitan.co.uk daily and weekly email newsletters have also increased by 22% and 49% respectively.

Introducing new initiatives such as the Cosmopolitan Blog Awards have helped to increase Cosmopolitan’s presence online. New areas of the website – Cosmo Shop!, Cosmo on Campus, Cosmopolitan Classified Directory and Cosmo’s ‘The One’ (dating channel) have also been launched to capture new audiences and expand and enhance their online experience.

Emphasis on providing up-to-the-minute content in the form of high-street shopping galleries and the hottest beauty buys has proven successful in the website’s ABCe increase; whilst the popularity of Cosmo TV is greater than ever. Behind-the-scenes footage of naked centrefolds has a loyal and ever increasing fan base, whilst new and fresh content such as ‘Inside His Mind’ (real men confess to camera what they think of a certain topic) keeps Cosmopolitan’s browsers consistently engaged.

“Cosmopolitan is a truly multi-platform brand which continues to thrive,” said Justine Southall (pictured), Publishing Director of the Cosmopolitan brand. “We’re absolutely delighted with our ABCe figure which underlines Cosmopolitan as one of the most popular destinations for women online. Our brand continues to evolve and reflect today’s fast-paced world and engages our extensive audience of young women with content that is absolutely relevant to their lifestyles now.””
