Creative Review annual uses Cellofoil finish

Celloglas finishes Creative Review Illustration Annual 2011 with Cellofoil.

The July 2011 issue of Creative Review is a special issue ‘The Illustration Annual 2011’ with over 50 pages of the year’s very best illustration.

The front and back cover have been finished with Cellofoil opaque white foil and Cellofoil silver, highlighting select areas of the illustration. The cover was printed on Rives Design Bright White 350gsm, supplied by Antalis McNaughton.

The July issue cover was designed by Peter Grundy. It is, he says, “Illustrator objects on a tray”.

Steve Middleton, Sales Director at Celloglas commented: “The use of Cellofoil on the Rives Design textured uncoated stock produces a really interesting and subtle texture within the foil. The foiling process has also been used to create a select deboss on the stock in the foiled areas”.

Steve added: “The Cellofoil opaque white foil is glossy and provides great contrast to the Rives Design stock, Cellofoil is the best way to achieve this effect with uncoated stock”.

Daniel Gray, a designer and writer based in New York, tweeted the following on Twitter: “Keep finding myself absent-mindedly stroking the @grundini / @Celloglas cover of @CreativeReview. Mmmm”

Sabeena Atchia, Group Production Manager at Creative Review, commented: “We always include Celloglas at the concept stage of covers, where we discuss possible options with Steve Middleton. We are really pleased with the finished result”.
