Daisy Dunlop appointed Director of Communications at News UK

Daisy Dunlop is set to return to News UK as Director of Communications after a 3 year stint at the News Corp HQ in New York.

At the same time, Helen Collier is promoted to become Deputy Director of Communications.

Ms Dunlop is currently Deputy Head of Communications at parent company, News Corp, where she has been working with the Chief Communications Officer, Jim Kennedy. She moved to New York ahead of the company split in 2013 when the publishing division separated from the TV and film division.

Rebekah Brooks, CEO of News UK said: “Daisy has an unrivalled knowledge of this company and our industry and I am delighted that she will be joining us in London. As a skilled communicator she will be telling our story to key stakeholders and clients, as well as managing our internal communications and CSR strategies.”

Daisy Dunlop said: “I am greatly looking forward to working with Rebekah Brooks and David Dinsmore as they lead the company to greater growth through quality journalism, sound financial stewardship and digital innovation. News UK is a true investor in professional journalism and its audiences are loyal and valuable to advertisers. I look forward to ensuring that this story gets the visibility it deserves.”

Helen Collier is currently Head of Communications at News UK and joined the business in 2014. Ms Dunlop, who will begin working at News UK in mid-February, replaces Guto Harri, who held the post since 2013.
