Dare announces tie up with Sabotage Times

Dare has formed an exciting new partnership with Sabotage Times, the digital venture launched last year by James Brown, founder of loaded and Jack magazines.

The collaboration will see the agency, recently formed out of the merger of MCBD and Dare Digital, launch a series of new media products to support the online magazine, which is currently generating 200,000 unique visits a month.

The first, an app, allows readers to access Sabotage Times’ “brilliant online digest” of created content - including articles about football, fashion, sport, opinion, relationships, drink and film - via their mobile phone.

Sabotage Times, which uses the strapline ‘We can't concentrate so why should you?", operates a content creation and syndication model. It has a stable of over 300 top class writers (known as ‘Saboteurs’) including magazine and newspaper journalists plus a new generation of bloggers.

James Brown, Founder & Editor at Sabotage Times, said: “We came up with the idea for the app last summer and only finished it once we stopped reading Sabotage Times. This is totally in-keeping with our inability to focus on anything else. The app will help other people fail to complete whatever they’re supposed to be doing.”

Danny Brooke-Taylor, Executive Creative Director at Dare, said: “We would have finished the app ages ago but kept getting distracted by Sabotage Times’ content.”

The iPhone and Android app will be free to download in April.
