DC Thomson choose DTI solutions

Digital Technology International (DTI) has announced that DC Thomson & Co Ltd, based in Dundee, is installing its DTI Circulation solution.

This is intended to improve the circulation and distribution of the publisher’s many printed products including the Aberdeen Press & Journal, The Evening Express, The Courier, the Sunday Post and The Evening Telegraph.

At the same time it is implementing the latest DTI Advertising solution with a total of nearly 200 users for display and classified ad sales, planning, production, billing and reporting.

Stephen Brooks, Group Head of IT, DC Thomson, said, “The DTI software will enhance our operations and improve sales. It provides a full set of reports that will help our decision-making and also enable us to better manage retention, understand sales trends, and increase revenue opportunities across the board.  

“With the use of lifestyle demographics we shall be able create targeted marketing campaigns that attract new subscribers and advertisers, win back former customers, and promote new offers to existing customers. We will also be able to build a more successful direct mail business.”

The company has interests in national and daily newspapers, magazines, children’s publications, puzzles and books.
