The Delicate Rébellion store offers affordable art, mags, events and tote bag full of inspiration, say the publishers.
Based in The Arches at East Market Street, the store is open every Wed-Sunday with a thoughtfully curated stock list designed to introduce the city to independent magazines, small presses and vintage publishing, unique brands and artists from in and around the Delicate Rébellion collective.
Bringing their own pages to life, they’ve launched with a host of brands and artists previously featured within their pages.
According to the Delicate Rébellion: Glasgow-based denim designer Siobhan McKenna’s capsule collection for her brand, Rejean sits pretty amongst the delicate screen prints of London based typography artist, Daisy Emerson. Milton Keynes-born fine artist Isobel Hill has a thought-provoking piece “legs as thin as Strings” exhibiting in the space with some of her original sketches expertly framed and ready to take home today. In addition, you’ll find unique homewares and lots of vintage posters and publications, too. Publications range from weird and wonderful one-off projects, interiors, art and design, family favourites such as Lunch Lady to more offbeat niche publications like Dog, a magazine which spotlights a different breed with every issue, this time, the majestic Italian Greyhound.
They also offer a ‘Surprise-a-Month’ subscription, which they describe as a “contemporary take on magazine subscriptions of yesteryear. Why plump for one title a monthly when you can enjoy a plethora of beautiful publications hand-picked around your interests sent to you, or a friend throughout the year?”
Editor Hannah Taylor says: “Share a little info about what you (or the lucky recipient!) are into and each month, Hannah, moi lé magazine geek will thoughtfully select a title to send to you from our beautiful library of publications. These could be books, magazines, freshly published or one-off vintage finds. You’re in for a treat.”
Delicate Rébellion Arch is geared up for co-working, pop-ups, events and exhibitions for 2022.
