Dennis launch application for iPad lovers

Dennis Publishing can announce the launch of Padder, claiming it to be the only magazine application about the iPad.

Padder aims to inform, whilst being a witty and memorable read. The magazine application has already seen incredible success, featuring in the top 10 downloads in the Entertainment section on iTunes on its day of launch, says Dennis.

Delivered every fortnight and written by iPad experts and enthusiasts, Padder is the best way to keep informed and up to date with your iPad. Designed from the ground up, it is not a rewrite of a print magazine or website, it has been designed and written especially for the iPad.

A fully interactive, smooth scrolling digital magazine, the app features the latest news, features, app reviews, product reviews and inside information. Padder has everything you need to know about the iPad inside and out, but without the ‘boring’ technical details. The app also allows you to interact directly with Twitter.

The launch advertisers include News International, Battlefield 3, Intel and Just Mobile.

Paul Rayner, Group Publisher of the Technology Division at Dennis said: “We are absolutely delighted to be adding Padder to our ever expanding technology portfolio at Dennis.  With the iPad market growing, it made sense to produce a MagApp purely about the iPad.  It’s a bold experiment – not a print magazine that’s been ported onto the iPad, but an iPad magazine designed and built specifically for the iPad. We have deliberately kept the file size as small as possible to avoid chewing up peoples’ download limits and with the frequency of Padder being fortnightly, it enables readers to keep up to date with the latest iPad trends without it becoming overwhelming.”

The first edition of Padder is available now to download for free from the iTunes store, further editions will be priced at £1.19 thereafter.
