Egmont appoints new Marketing Director

Egmont UK Magazines, a division of Egmont Publishing announced yesterdday the appointment of Helen Stables to the newly formed role of Marketing Director.

Reporting to Gillian Laskier, Managing Director of Egmont’s magazines business, Helen will work across the total portfolio of magazines and will also work closely with colleagues in Egmont Books and in other Egmont territories.

Currently Mass Market Sales Director for Egmont’s books business, Helen joins the magazines team following 12 years at Egmont, working across both the books and magazines businesses.

Gillian Laskier said: “Helen is joining our magazines team at a particularly exciting point – we have a market leading range of children’s magazines targeted at all age groups, and an ambitious plan of new launches over the next 12 months. Having worked with Helen before, I know that she will be a huge asset to our successful and professional magazines team”.

Helen Stables said: “Nowhere in the children’s market is there a marketing role as exciting as this one. I am passionate about encouraging children to read, and magazines as well as books have a key role to play”.

Helen will start her new role on 1 November 2014.
