FourFourTwo launches new performance website

FourFourTwo has extended its digital offering with the launch of FourFourTwo Performance, a website built by Haymarket Network that provides professional advice to footballers of any standard.

With sections dedicated to technique, tactics, fitness, nutrition, injuries and even psychology, and the strapline ‘Think. Train. Play. Like a Pro’, FourFourTwo Performance boasts that it can improve any player’s game within 10 minutes of visiting the site.

If that sounds ambitious, a look at the calibre of expert involved suggests it might just be possible. Rio Ferdinand, Ashley Cole, Wayne Rooney, Diego Forlan, Andres Iniesta and many more top players have already contributed, while a team of renowned experts from within the professional game has been compiled to answer readers’ queries.

“We felt that there was a real opportunity to deliver unique and useful content to footballers that would help them improve their game,” said FourFourTwo brand director Hugh Sleight. “Look around and there’s precious little out there that delivers meaningful advice to footballers. Our belief is that whether you’re 14 or 40, playing professionally or in the park, there’s something here for you.”

The website complements the 10-page monthly section that launched in FourFourTwo magazine in September.

Powerade have already signed up as the official sports drink of both the magazine and website. “It’s a perfect fit,” says Sleight. “Powerade operate at the very elite level of sport but with practical applications right the way down to grassroots football. We’re working with them to use their experts to teach our readers all about fitness, nutrition and the importance of hydration.”
