Model and activist Adwoa Aboah addresses topics from male mental health to sex workers’ rights as she takes over this week’s issue of Stylist.
Stylist has handpicked ten remarkable women to take the editor’s chair this year and all guests have control over the editorial process – from story selection to copy and picture approval, say the publishers.
For this week’s cover stars, Aboah chose members of Gurls Talk, the online and offline community she founded in 2015. Among the guest contributors is author Matt Haig who discusses the ways men can break through their own ‘glass ceiling’ when it comes to talking about mental health.
Other subjects tackled by the Burberry, Versace and Chanel model range from the working lives of NHS nurses to the art of drag makeup.

This series follows Stylist’s inaugural Remarkable Women awards, celebrating women who are using their voice and platform to help others. Winners included singer Annie Lennox, Killing Eve actress Jodie Comer and TV and Radio 1 presenter Maya Jama.
