Future launches PCGamer.com

Future, the special-interest media group, has launched PCGamer.com – the new online home for PC Gamer, the “global PC gaming authority”.

As the world’s biggest name in PC games media since 1993, the new website unites the PC Gamer teams from the US and UK to deliver, say the publishers, the most trusted, most informed and most up-to-date source for all things PC gaming – overseen by the highly respected Editor-in-Chief of PC Gamer US, Logan Decker and Editor of PC Gamer UK, Tim Edwards.

Passionate about the thriving international PC games market, PCGamer.com will offer news, reviews, previews, insight and its own community features. Striving to be the first-stop for news on the biggest PC releases, PCGamer.com celebrates its launch week with five days of exclusive Deus Ex: Human Revolution coverage, including walkthroughs, in-depth detail and amazing insights.

PCGamer.com promises a stack of BIG exclusives in the run up to E3, then delivering unbeatable PC coverage direct from the show.

The first 20,000 people to register at PCGamer.com will receive a key to the city for Realtime World’s forthcoming cops and robbers game, APB.  By registering, gamers will get the chance to grab give away trial keys, free MMO items, and access to PC Gamer hosted events.

Logan Decker, Editor-in-Chief of PC Gamer US, said: “The community demanded a fully featured PC Gamer website, and we’ve been committed to doing it right, teaming up with Tim and his team across the pond.  The new site we have launched is just the beginning for PCGamer.com. We are working on features and exclusives that will grab the attention of passionate and technology savvy PC gamers.  With more than 15 years as the global PC gaming authority, no other editorial team is better equipped than PC Gamer to be the most trusted, most informed and most up-to-date online source for all things PC gaming.”

Tim Edwards, Editor of PC Gamer UK, added: “PC Gamer is proud of what we’ve achieved in print over the past 15 years. Now is the chance for us to remind the world just how fun, silly, and smart PC Gamer can be, 24 hours a day. We know the community wants this, and we’re bursting with ideas, and passion for the world’s most important gaming platform.”

Tom Mayo, APB Product Manager at Realtime Worlds, commented: “PC Gamer has long been a pillar of the PC gaming community on both sides of the Atlantic. To celebrate the site’s launch and the imminent release of APB, we are excited to give a Key to the City to 20,000 PCGamer.com visitors who want to get a taster of the conflict, creativity and celebrity in our persistently online multiplayer game.”
