Future provides Black Friday deals service

Future plc’s websites, including techradar and GamesRadar+, are set to curate the best deals in tech and gaming for 2015’s Black Friday weekend and Cyber Monday.

Techradar’s deals can be viewed at http://j.mp/techradar_blackfriday and GamesRadar’s at http://j.mp/gamesradar_blackfriday

As the phenomenon of Black Friday grows, 2015 looks set to be the biggest ever, says Future. Analysts are predicting that British shoppers alone will spend up to £1bn on tech, games, clothes and other goods in 24 hours. As much as £3.5bn is expected to be spent during the whole weekend, which ends with Cyber Monday on November 30.

Both techradar and GamesRadar+ have seen trends in the most sought after deals already. Apple’s iPhone 6S has been one of the most popular so far. With affiliations to a number of the online retailers like Carphone Warehouse and Mobiles.co.uk offering large discounts using voucher codes - techradar is listing them all.

According to Future, other hot products include PS4 and Xbox One, 4K TVs and laptops. Console bundles look like offering some of the most exciting deals on the day.

Over the past 12 months, Future has been speaking with retailers in the UK and US aiming to build the ultimate Black Friday shopping pages, that give a simple, secure and robust online shopping experience. As a result, Future receives a percentage of any purchases made by users from these pages.

Zillah Byng-Thorne, CEO of Future, says, “In 2014 Black Friday took us a little by surprise as both traffic to and eCommerce from our technology and games sites went through the roof. We have been preparing for Black Friday 2015 ever since then as users are increasingly visiting sites like techradar and gamesradar+ to make their tech and gaming purchases with confidence.

“As as we enter the Black Friday weekend, we have already exceeded our revenue target for the month as Black Friday trading has started even earlier this year. eCommerce is now an important and growing revenue stream for us.”
