Future unveils 20 Windows 8 Apps with MagazineCloner

MagazineCloner has announced the release of 20 Windows 8 apps for Future Publishing titles including T3, Total Film and Edge. In addition, the publisher's 53 magazine brands are also now available on MagazineCloner’s Pocketmags platform.

Windows 8, the desktop and tablet operating system from Microsoft will provide another digital distribution outlet for Future's renowned publishing portfolio and allow users to purchase single issues and subscriptions to their favourite Future titles.

The arrival of Future titles on Pocketmags.com is further recognition of the recent growth of the site which now offers more than 1800 titles and regularly outperforms non-Apple platforms in sales for many of its publishers, with the added benefit of no 30% platform charge as per app platforms, says MagazineCloner.

Iain Russell, App Marketing Manager said: “Working with Pocketmags to get our 53 magazine brands onto their service has been simple and efficient, we therefore were more than happy to work with them further and get our key titles added to the Windows Store via their service. This will enable us to highlight our market-leading content to a wider audience and increase global discoverability of our digital editions.”

Patrick Knight, MagazineCloner's Strategic Development Director said: “Having worked closely with Microsoft and Future to bring such strong brands to Windows 8 we are excited to see how the platform develops to bring magazines to readers on yet another digital platform. It is also fantastic to see all of Future's brands on Pocketmags, it is a reflection of the increasing value of the brand to publishers.”
