FuturePlus produces first interactive magazine for Tesco

FuturePlus, Future’s publishing agency, has partnered with Tesco to launch the supermarket’s first ever interactive magazine.

The 12-page electronic magazine which promotes Tesco’s new TV range, will be distributed via two email campaigns in July to 12 million customers across the UK.

With particular emphasis on the new ranges from brands such as Sony, Samsung, Toshiba and LG under Tesco’s Tech Support brand, the interactive magazine includes 360-degree product views, video and useful tips on the best products and prices and how to get the most out of them.

FuturePlus has drawn on its previous experience producing interactive magazines for clients such as O2 and Sky to deliver a consumer-facing product aimed at driving high levels of engagement, including an interactive competition giving recipients the chance to win a Song 3D TV bundle.

Positioning Tesco as a leader in technology and the best choice for price, value and service, the electronic magazine is designed to engage readers and provide all the information they need when selecting a new TV.

Jayne Caple, Managing Director of FuturePlus UK, says: “Working with Tesco on this project has been fantastic and we’re really pleased with the final product. Tesco are a major player in the technology market and the quality of their products speaks for itself, which is reflected in the interactive magazine.”

Kelly Chapman, Commercial Marketing Manager for Tesco, says: “We wanted to create something a bit different and chose to partner with FuturePlus due to their expertise producing high quality electronic magazines. FuturePlus also produces the print version of our Tesco Technology and Entertainment magazine, which has been hugely successful so an interactive magazine was the natural next step. The partnership with FuturePlus is thriving and we hope that our customers will find the electronic magazine useful and interesting to read.”
