Glenfiddich Signs Major Deal with Mojo Magazine

Glenfiddich has signed a major sponsorship deal with MOJO, the music monthly, to be headline sponsor of the MOJO Honours List, the magazine's annual awards ceremony which celebrates and rewards the greatest names in music.

Building on a successful partnership in 2010 between Glenfiddich and MOJO award winner Richard Hawley, the sponsorship will launch with a search for the best unsigned singer/songwriter in Great Britain and Ireland. Glenfiddich MOJO New Voice launched on Wednesday 27th April and will culminate in a live event at London's prestigious Gibson Studios on 12th July, when the top five acts (as voted for by MOJO readers and fans) will perform for the ultimate prize in-front of an elite music industry panel chaired by MOJO Editor-In-Chief Phil Alexander.

The initiative, says Bauer, created in partnership by the two brands, not only re-enforces MOJO's commitment to acknowledging and rewarding real talent, both established and new, but it supports Glenfiddich's key brand messaging of 'One Day You Will' and the brand's ethos of inspiring people to realise their potential and transform their ambitions into reality.

The search will be supported in magazine, on mojo4music.com, across all MOJO's social media platforms and via a comprehensive PR and promotional campaign encompassing print, radio and online.

MOJO's commitment to supporting emerging talent will be reinforced by the magazine's collaboration with Communion, the London-based label and club night run by Ben Lovett of Mumford And Sons, Kevin Jones of Cherbourg and producer Ian Grimble. The magazine has worked with Communion to create an exclusive compilation that will accompany the June issue that hits the streets on May 25 and which will feature 15 hotly tipped acoustic-led artists including Mumford And Sons, Johnny Flynn, Matthew And The Atlas, Marcus Foster, Ben Howard, Alessi's Ark and many more. It is this collaboration with Communion that has helped inspire MOJO and Glenfiddich to find a 'New Voice'.

As well as being a partner in this initiative, Glenfiddich will also support two categories at the MOJO Honours List on July 21st. These are Song Of The Year and The MOJO Hall Of Fame Award.

Commenting on the partnership MOJO's Editor In Chief Phil Alexander (pictured), said: "We are delighted to have Glenfiddich on board for the MOJO Honours List and for the New Voice initiative. We believe they share our values and our sense of enterprise. We believe that they are the perfect partners for both the event and MOJO as a whole and we look forward to working with them on what are a unique series of events."

Glenfiddich Brand Ambassador, Jamie Milne added:  "Following the success of last year's partnership with MOJO Award winner Richard Hawley, the Glenfiddich MOJO New Voice Award is the next phase in Glenfiddich's mission to inspire people to delight in life's adventures and we are very excited to be part of what will be a life-changing competition."
