Go Run app launched for iPad & iPhone

Imagine launches the first iPad/iPhone digital edition not linked to one of its 20 print magazines.

Go Run is a new app for the iPad and iPhone from Imagine Publishing aimed at runners of all abilities, offering expert advice and insider tips from real runners that can be accessed and read anytime, anywhere. The app features a selection of guides, covering everything from getting started in running, to completing a marathon and beyond. There will also be a monthly in-app magazine available, which will offer up-to-date news on races, kit, nutrition and injury prevention, plus real-world advice from the running community.

The Go Run app comes with the first section of The Beginner’s Guide To Running, the first of many in-app books, absolutely free. This guide is split into five easy-to-follow sections covering Getting Started, Training, Nutrition, Races and Plans. With 50 pages, this book will help you to train for your first 5K from scratch in just 12 weeks.

Whether you want to run to lose weight, get fit or meet personal goals, then it will provide you with everything that you need to know in bitesize segments.

Editor Julie Easton (pictured) said: “Running is a sport with ever-increasing numbers that anyone can take part in. This dedicated app offers advice on the move for runners at every level, with The Beginner’s Guide To Running aimed at complete beginners. It’s an exciting new product with a lot of potential for the future.”

Art Editor Danielle Dixon added: “Go Run has been specifically designed to be easy to read on an iPad or iPhone, with illustrations and photos to highlight the key points, making the most of the portability of these devices. The app will build up into a must-have library for new and seasoned runners alike.”

The Go Run app costs £0.59/$0.99. It is available now from http://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/go-run-magazine/id398139896?mt=8#
