Good Housekeeping launches Institute in heart of Soho

Good Housekeeping, the women's lifestyle magazine published by Hearst Magazines UK, has announced plans to open a standalone Good Housekeeping Institute (GHI) in the heart of London's Soho.

The Good Housekeeping Institute, currently housed in the Good Housekeeping editorial offices, will move, with its 'Tried, Tested, Trusted' testing team, to premises in St Anne's Court, London W1. The new Good Housekeeping Institute allows the brand to expand its range of testing, to encompass nursery, beauty and tech products.

From autumn 2014, the GHI will open its doors to the public as a cookery school and demonstration kitchen - providing direct access to the Good Housekeeping experts and showcasing their triple-testing process.

The St Anne's Court building is owned by hotelier and entrepreneur Robert Nadler. Its interior has been designed to specifications by the Good Housekeeping experts.

The Good Housekeeping 'Tried, Tested, Trusted' seal is a consumer mark of quality assurance, used by many brands each year.

The announcement marks another milestone in the expansion of the Good Housekeeping brand across all platforms, and which includes investment in an expanded testing programme and the provision of content both digitally and in print.

Good Housekeeping Editorial Director Lindsay Nicholson says, "I'm delighted that we will be opening the doors of the Good Housekeeping Institute to the public. As a magazine we have been helping women make the best choices for more than 90 years and it is a great step forward now to be able to work with them in person."
