Graeme Pattullo joins DC Thomson’s Newspaper Advertising Division

DC Thomson has announced the appointment of Graeme Pattullo to the role of Business Development Manager for its Newspaper business. Graeme joins the Newspaper Advertising team on Wednesday 28th May 2014.

In the role of Business Development Manager, Graeme will lead the Agency and Innovations team in developing new, creative ways for advertisers to engage with their audience across DC Thomson’s Newspaper platforms. He will also be responsible for driving new business for the Newspaper portfolio.

Graeme has over 24 years of experience within the media industry. He began his career with Television South in London before moving back to Scotland to join Television Sales Scotland (Grampian TV) in Aberdeen. Following Grampian TV’s merger with STV, he became STV's Business Development Director in 2002. In this role Graeme was responsible for the Direct Sales team across Scotland and the creation of the company’s commercial production operation. He also managed the continued development of STV's split transmission regions.

Latterly he held the position of Sales Director with overall responsibility for the delivery of all airtime, sponsorship and beyond the spot revenue for STV’s Scottish based agencies and direct advertisers. Graeme also developed a range of new products including STV Mobile, STV Promotions and delivered STV's first Channel Sponsorship.

DC Thomson’s Head of Commercial (Newspapers) Denise West said, “I am delighted to have someone with Graeme’s experience and proven track record join the senior management team of DC Thomson Newspapers. I am sure Graeme will build upon the commercial achievements of the business to date and work with me and the rest of our colleagues to develop further opportunities.”

Graeme Pattullo added, “I'm thrilled to be returning to Scottish media and my hometown. My focus will be to drive innovative solutions for existing and new DC Thomson advertisers to deliver successful campaigns. I look forward to joining a highly experienced and passionate Newspaper team and renewing relationships with advertisers and agencies across Scotland.”
