Bauer Media’s Grazia has announced the appointment of Kenya Hunt as Fashion Director.

Grazia appoints Kenya Hunt
Kenya Hunt: “I am thrilled to be joining Grazia, a bold, brave and energising voice within fashion media.”

Kenya joins Grazia from Elle UK, where she has been Deputy Editor for the past two years, having previously worked as the title’s Fashion Features Director since joining Elle in 2015. At Elle she led projects such as the magazine’s Fashion the Future Sustainability Issue in September 2018 and edited the Nike-sponsored Women in Sport Issue in July 2019.

Kenya’s writing has appeared in The Guardian, US Vogue, The Evening Standard and more, and she is a sought-after voice on issues pertaining to representation in fashion. As the founder of R.O.O.M. Mentoring, she advocates for greater diversity within the fashion industry by providing a support network for some of the best and brightest aspiring designers, journalists and image-makers of colour London has to offer.

Commenting on her appointment, Kenya said: “I am thrilled to be joining Grazia, a bold, brave and energising voice within fashion media with an incredibly large reach. It’s an honour to join the team as Fashion Director, following in the footsteps of such formidable predecessors as Rebecca Lowthorpe, Susannah Frankel and Paula Reed.”

Editor Hattie Brett added: “I’m delighted that Kenya will be joining the Grazia team in the autumn. She succeeds Rebecca Lowthorpe, who has cemented the brand’s reputation for delivering trailblazing fashion content that both informs our readers’ purchases and sparks conversation about the industry’s key issues. I know Kenya will continue to engage our audience with her commitment to strong storytelling and striking visuals.”

Kenya succeeds Rebecca Lowthorpe, who is leaving Grazia mid-September. She will report directly to Grazia's Editor Hattie Brett and will start in the autumn.
